Yup, it’s head and brain injury.
Head injury is the term which is used to describe the trauma caused to the head and the other parts of the head. Head injury may or may not include damage to the brain. Serious head injury and brain injury may lead to detrimental results.
Head injury may be because of the accidents caused by careless driving or when your head is struck against a hard body heavily. Due to this accident skull gets damaged and bleeding happens and it is called as intracranial hemorrhage.
Cerebral Contusion is referred to the damage of the brain tissues. The first aid kit available in the medical shops has ice packs with chemicals which need not be frozen. Ice can be applied to reduce the swelling but ice should not be applied directly, wrap it up in a cloth and apply.
Brain injury may have various effects on different people based on the severity of the injury. The injury may be mild, moderate or severe. Some of the symptoms of the brain injury are dizziness, continuous vomiting, slow pulse, loss of vision, unconsciousness and severe head ache. Brain injury may cause even disability or death.
It may take several months and years to cure the head injury and brain injury. Based on the injury the treatment may vary from minimal to emergency surgery. Rather than a surgery or a first aid it is better to drive safely and be away from injuries.
