Acne is a problem associated with the condition of the skin. When the pilosebaceous units change, skin structures stimulate what is known as androgen associated with the sebaceous gland. The purpose of this article is to highlight the different types of acne, how to prevent acne and how to treat acne scar.

Different types of acne:

Acne itself has its different types with some of them being dangerous and hard to cure while the rest being a bit easy to treat.

Blackheads – The main reason for this type of vulgaris is due to partially blocked pores in the skin. The bacteria, oil and dead cells enter this opening which causes the problem.

Papules – These are red inflammations that do not possess any type of head. They’re usually sensitive to the touch.

Pustules – As you might have seen on many people’s face, these are red inflammations that contain the yellow center (sometimes white). These are somewhat similar to the whiteheads.

Whiteheads – Unlike the blackhead, the pores are completely blocked in the whitehead, which is hazardous too.

Prevent acne:

As you might already know – “prevention is better than cure”. So here are a few ways to prevent acne.

  • Do not use lotions or moisturizers having oil.
  • When removing your make up use only warm water and soap.
  • Consume Vitamin B-2.
  • Oily hair is not advisable always. Thus, it is better to wash and keep a dry hair.

Treat acne scar

With the development of technology, removing acne has become easier. Following will give you an idea on how to treat acne scar.

Laser Resurfacing – Your skin will be scanned with laser which eliminates any signs of acne skin. After the elimination, a new skin develops in its place.

Chemical Peels – With chemical peels, as the name says, the acne skin is chemically peeled off for facilitating new skin development.

Saline injections – In this method, saline is injected in the acne scar to eradicate it completely.
